It's a pleasure to be here again with Family Office Club. Always high caliber, high quality people
in the room to meet. And no exception here on this panel because we have some extremely high
quality, successful people who are going to share their tips with you and hopefully help you get to
the next level of whatever it is that your goal is. And they're going to introduce themselves.
It's a speed-based panel. They're each going to have five minutes where they're going to talk
about what their history and focus is, what they're looking to invest in,
maybe share some truths and some stories that may be some lessons learned there,
what sectors and areas they're interested in and think are going to really take off where the
opportunity sets are. So I will turn it over to them. You heard a brief intro about myself,
and if you're interested in learning more about me, you'll also please attend panel seven tomorrow
morning at 10.50. So without further ado, we will continue on with our main panelists.
Camilo, will you please start us off and make sure that you also say something very amusing,
because it's late in the afternoon. Thank you so much. Definitely you guys are the warriors that
stay to the end because Richard always keep the best for the end of the day. And that mean him
because he's going to come after us, correct?
Well, thank you very much. Good afternoon. We are a single family office. We operate out of Dubai.
We are in our third generation. I happen to be the CEO for several years already. And I'm not
allowed to retire anyway. So I don't allow myself also.
We are global investors with focus on alternatives. We invest in commercial real estate.
And our portfolio spread to several destinations, definitely including the United States since
2010, when the United States was just about to come out of the great crisis.
And there were a lot of opportunities that you can purchase right there and then and way below
replacement. In addition to commercial real estate, we invest in renewable energy in all different
aspects of it. I mean, if it is the basic of wind and solar, all the way to the electrolyzers that
today are separating hydrogen from oxygen, that the company Tata last week, they released now the
new engine that operate on water, where the electrolyzer in the...
in the car separate the hydrogen to use it to create the electricity for the engine and then
recapture the vapor and then have water one more time i don't know if it is portable or not but it
is it's it's it's a new advancement in the business in addition we invest also in waste management
we believe that today in the world that is way ahead today of eight billion people Are we producing
industrial waste, human waste definitely, and agricultural waste,
also medical waste? And all that require recycling,
require reprocessing. And we still have many countries out of the 192 countries plus in the members
of the United Nations that are still burning their garbage or burying it.
I remember a time where even for us in the sand, we used to bury the tires until I was among the
leaders who brought in the tire recycling technologies to the region. And actually,
the technology came out of the U.S. and where we recycle automobile tires.
So we say to each other, you don't have to bury it. There is a factory you can deliver it to. And
today, many countries are adopting the same. We have also, you said I have five minutes?
Thank you. You have about one minute left. Yeah, I mean, but this clock over here cheat.
One minute plus a little charm is permitted. Thank you, Alejandro. God bless you.
So I developed an internal policy for ourselves that focus on sustainability.
Every investment where we write checks into has to have a measurable impact.
And also that the thesis behind it does make a difference,
not only for us. It's not always about the money. When a single family invests overseas,
and my colleagues will tell you the same, it's not to get wealthier. It is for capital preservation
and growth. I'm not saying that we are innocent. We are doing it for the sake of God. No,
it is another business. but also there is a sense of conscientious in it, in the way we do
business. So the conversation with GPs, if it is direct investment or it is with an institution,
if it is with the fund, with the wealth management, is the sustainability question is always on the
table from the first meeting. If the answer is, well, we are indifferent, that term is not
acceptable. You know, you cannot be indifferent in today. ESG, the environment,
sustainability on jobs, on businesses is not a trend. It is here to stay.
It is a way of life. I will stop here before you guys start looking down on the phone. If I see
anybody looking at the phone, I have the code of the building manager to disconnect the Internet.
So be careful. Hi, I'm Richard C. Wilson. Our community has closed over $1 billion of transactions.
We have over 16 million registered members across 100 plus LinkedIn groups.
And I own billionaires.com and run Family Office Club. Over 19 years, we've hosted 300 live
events. I've built 50 of our own AI tools. And between the billionaires I've interviewed... Since
millionaires have spoken on stage and over a thousand decamillionaires have presented, we've found
there's three things that really can build your wealth. Proximity, superintelligence, and scale.
That's exactly what we provide at Family Office Club. We host 30 events a year, including five
large summits for wealthy founders and investors, dozens of workshops and masterminds,
including 12 artificial intelligence, laptops out, implementation workshops.
So you leave with AI implemented. To learn more, please go to familyoffices.com.
And I look forward to personally meeting you at our next live event.
