This investor's edge isn't capital - it's communication. As a brand strategist and communications founder, she has helped take companies to multi-billion dollar IPOs and record-breaking public market debuts. She backs founders she believes in and uses brand strategy to amplify their growth from the inside. Her investment thesis is simple: if a company can't connect on a human level, the product doesn't matter.
In this episode, she introduces the B2H framework - Business to Human - and explains why the most common mistake she sees from founders is leading with everything they do instead of what the investor actually cares about. She breaks down why eight seconds is all you have to make an impression, and what a memorable soundbite actually looks like in a capital-raising context.

What's one thing you'd change about the way founders pitch investors today?

So my background is definitely different than the other people I'm sitting beside.
I am an investor. However, the way I came into this is through my business.
What I do is build brands, build companies. I've had the pleasure of working with companies as
early as Y Combinator, taking brands like GitLab to $10 billion IPOs.
building many, many cybersecurity companies, including Sentinel One, which to date is still the
highest valued IPO in cyber history. But what this means is I spend most of my days speaking to the
people sitting on the other side. And so I speak with founders day in and day out.
And what I see is a lot of people who... aren't necessarily great storytellers,
and that's really where we step in. We help brands connect on the human side.
And at the end of the day, it's never B to B, B to C.
I always say it's B to H. There is a human being sitting at the end of every conversation,
and if we can't connect on an emotional level, I don't care if you're selling cybersecurity,
or art, or whatever it is that you're doing, you have to connect at an emotional level.
And there's a reason why people are making their decisions. And so I have helped these companies
break through the clutter, punch above their weight, and get noticed in highly competitive markets.
So I make a lot of my investment decisions. when I meet those founders,
when I believe in the mission, and when I know that I can drive and amplify change.
So that's really where my head is, and I get to do it from the sidelines,
and I use a lot of relationships then to help those companies push even further.
