Hello, Richard Wilson here from the Family Office Club. I run an investor club with about 7,500 investors. We host 16 in-person events a year, along with a mobile app and web portal featuring over 40-45 different full-length HD conferences that you can stream at any time. More importantly, we have over 1,000 videos of investors on stage or interviewed one-on-one by me, sharing exactly what they’re investing in.

The point of having in-person events combined with a large investor portal, mobile app, and digital footprint is that it combines the best of both worlds. If you’re like me, you’ve probably found that the biggest and most important relationships, joint ventures, deals you’ve closed, investors you’ve worked with, and money you’ve raised have come from in-person meetings. That’s the case for me.

What I find is that many people think it’s all about digital reach and that meeting in person is old-fashioned, something from the 1990s or early 2000s, definitely pre-COVID. They’re all about Zoom and LinkedIn, thinking you don’t need to meet in person. Well, that’s not true, in my experience. If you’re raising more than a thousand dollars or looking to work with someone in a big way, you can tell more about them in 30 seconds in person than you usually can over 30 minutes on Zoom. So, it’s very important to meet in person, but it’s not all about meeting in person.

We have over 16 million social media followers and will be hitting 20 million soon. We started this year with only 9 million. The reason I bring this up is because we combine in-person meetings with a massive digital footprint, and that’s why we’re successful. It’s why we source a lot of deal flow for our investors, why we know so many investors, and why the network effect of having a large network, combined with in-person meetings, is so critical.

I encourage you to check out our investor club. We like to meet in person, share thought leadership, and provide valuable content. We have over 1,000 videos on our YouTube channel, and over 1,000 episodes of our Family Office podcast. I’m proud to say that after a few decades, we have the number one most visited website for Family Offices, the number one podcast, and the number one YouTube channel. We have 10 times the social media network, followers, and group reach of the next largest investor club globally. This is based on hours of research where we identified the top 50 investor clubs, and we’re 95% sure that our findings are accurate.

We’re 17 years in and still growing, and hopefully, we’re just getting started.
